City of Lights - Paris, France (Nov 2012)

We decided to take a trip to Paris and loaded up our car with all 5 of us, plus the three dogs. The car was jammed packed but we were able to fit everything and arrived 4 hours later.  We rented a flat right on the Rue Saint Honore.  It was a great location, close to the Louvre, the Jardin des Tuileries park, the metro, and most importantly, a great bakery.  We spent 4 days there and Ethan & Ava could not get enough of the Eiffel Tower.  They were fascinated by it and we went for a visit almost every evening. It was especially beautiful when it "sparkled" on the hour.

We immediately adopted the Parisian lifestyle by sampling the wines, cheeses, and bread.

Our visit to the Louvre

Arc de Triomphe (We couldn't resist visiting at night!)

We climbed all the way to the top, all 284 steps!

On the metro for some sightseeing

Our only evidence we were atop the Eiffel Tower, Ethan was brave enough to stand close to the perimeter for a picture.  We didn't realize how scary it would be but with everything being open around us and the fear of heights, we were happy to head back down.

Sibling silliness (when they are not fighting of course!)

Aurevoir for now, we will definitely be back!
